Generous Minds at Christmas

Christmas is about longings. Many long for home, their joyful past or their desired future, traditions, peace, justice, joy and love. 

Have you ever stopped to question the narrative? Why did God come near? What is the purpose of us gathering together at Christmas? Why is proximity an important part of God’s plan?

Imagine someone discovering the Christmas story for the first time as they help paint nativity sets to ship across the ocean? This is the story of a young man in China. 

What stands out is how generous God was with the Good News. He truly wanted the world to know and was intentional about His communication to us. Let us take time this Christmas to thank Him for this wondrous gift!

We can never understand God’s ways. Sometimes he gives us a glimpse of what he is up to, but most of the time, we have to live in a state of uncertain certainty—uncertain as to what will happen, but totally certain of who is in control.

One of the most interesting parts of Christmas for us is watching the new and creative ways people share the story of Christ's birth. Every year there are new twists on God's most important story that bring the details to life in unique ways for new generations.
